Why does my window catch when I close it?
The sash may be out of alignment, or a hinge or other fitting may be worn. The cause needs checking before parts are replaced. Avoid forcing the handle to pull the window shut.
Can a draught be fixed without a new window?
Sometimes. A draught may come from poor closing, an alignment issue or a worn seal. The frame and fittings need inspecting to establish whether a repair is suitable.
